DIY Christmas Gift for Kids to Make!

(Thank you to Oriental Trading Company for providing product used in this post!)

Do you feel the excitement in the air? School is almost out for Christmas break! Soon they will be home. Wide-eyed. Counting down the days, the hours, the minutes... until Christmas morning!

So today I thought I'd share a sweet and simple idea to keep the little ones in your home busy distracted creative. :) These affordable wood Christmas tree ornaments come in sets of 12, and are perfect for children to paint and decorate.

They can personalize the ornaments with their picture to give to Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles. Or, have them use a picture of them with their friends to pass out as gifts! (The photo ornaments on our tree are the ones I cherish most.)

And why stop there?

Break out the colored pencils and crayons and have them color personalized gift tags. They'll have fun and embrace the spirit of giving... and you'll have bought yourself an afternoon! (Or at least an hour...)

We chose these sweet gift bags to wrap our ornaments...

We also tucked these precious mini nativities inside the bags with our ornaments. I may also use these nativities for Christmas Eve favors or inside our boys' advent buckets... Still deciding!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you enjoy these merry, memory-making days!
