Three Simple Ideas For Your Farmhouse Dinner Table...

Hi Friends! We're enjoying some beautiful spring weather here in the Pacific Northwest... That, along with a visit from my husband's parents, helped motivate us to get the grill cleaned up for the season. Once we start using the grill again, it just seems like there are so many more options for dinner!

As I was getting dinner ready, I thought of three little additions for the table that really help make it feel just a bit more "farmhouse" special. None of these are earth-shattering, but I thought I'd mention them in case you, like me, had forgotten about them over the fall and winter months...

1. Breadboards: I posted one of these images on Instagram, and a reader commented, "Why does bread always taste better when served on a breadboard?!" I'm not sure, but I'd have to agree! French baguettes, Rosemary bread, and sourdough rounds are some of our family's favorite types of bread.

2. Flowers: There is something so satisfying about going out to the garden and finding some fresh flowers, branches, greenery, and/or herbs. As you can see here, my "arrangement" was very simple, but we'll chalk it up to simple farmhouse charm... ;)

3. Oil and Vinegar: Is it because I'm trying to eat less bread that two of my tips are revolving around bread?! Probably. Anyway, giving family and/or guests the option of oil and vinegar, along with butter, for bread, makes things feel just a little more special. I keep my eye out for small white vintage plates, the perfect size for individual oil and vinegar servings.

What would you add to this list? As the weather gets better, how does your table, meals, and entertaining change? I'd love to hear your tips!!
